Getting teachers involved in your library wiki is a great way to save time! Have teachers post their lesson plans and recommend books that will help student succeed throughout the unit, learn more if they wish, and help them with any final projects.
In honor of Black History Month...
This month, Mrs. Nelson's 4th grade history class is studying famous African-Americans and the civil rights movement, in honor of Black History Month. The following materials will help you learn more about this topic and prepare you for your final presentation. Please see Mrs. Nelson or the librarian if you have any problems finding these materials. When looking at websites, don't forget to look for authoratative sources.

Set in Chicago in the mid 1960s, this story centers on a group of high school friends from "the projects." But the movie becomes more dramatic when two main characters are accused of a crime. Set toward the end of World War II this murder mystery examines the life and death of an African American sergent in charge of a racially segregated uit.
